3. “Quaquaversal” – A quaquaversal can mean a lava bed. Quaquaversal means to go out or dip in all directions. Fractals are a self-repeating pattern like Koch snowflake. They also go out in all directions at once. Surrealists used a method called decalcomania where paper or some other surface was applied to wet paint on a canvas to create fractal patterns. I did this and then did an acrylic transfer of a lava bed on top of the decalcomania.
