6.“Fame” – I found out Cullen Murphy developed a unit of fame from the quote “everyone will be world-famous for fifteen minutes.” (Warhol used to change this phrase saying, “In the future, 15 people will be famous,” and “In fifteen minutes everyone will be famous. “)A warhol equals fifteen minutes. A kilowarhol is famous for 15,000 minutes or 10.42 days; a megawarhol famous for 15 million minutes or 28.5 years. I kind of played off of the three quotes by Warhol, having fifteen famous people who have died around the “clock.” The measurement around the clock is continually 15 for “In fifteen minutes everyone will be famous.” I used photo emulsion to print the images of the famous people. I used an acrylic transfer for the background image of the RCA Indian Head. This image used to be played after the TV programming went off for the night.
